DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Golf is a unique game. Smart play, calm nerves and the ability to execute a variety of shots are necessary to succeed. Further, golf is played on distinct, or even peculiar playing fields. Weather, topography, vegetation and design can all determine the challenge, pace and enjoyment of a round.

Golf holds a special place in our culture. It is a gentleman’s sport with a long and proud history. It provides the participant with a reflective outlet in an ever-demanding society. As Golf Course Architects, it is our charge to gauge the challenge of the design with the requirements of the golfer and the resources of the site.

As the game and the industry evolve, golf course architecture must respond with more sustainable and enjoyable landscapes, attractive to an expanding and demanding golf clientele.
