Phillips Park Golf Course, part of the Aurora, Illinois Parks Department, was an 80-year- old municipal golf course desperately in need of an update. In 1998, Mdp generated a Master Improvement Plan and then executed the plan to meet the ever-growing demands of an expanding golf clientele.

Full modernization of all facilities, full golf course reconstruction and expansion, additional practice facilities and a 3 hole Junior Course will aid the area First Tee Chapter as well as the diverse community needs. This golf course is only 6,250 yds but continues to provide an ample challenge for every ability.

The front nine holes has a significant ‘savanna’ design treatment through and around stands of century old oak trees, while the back nine is dramatically different, playing longer with shots over deep valleys and along the side hills. Wide fairways, and soft grading provides a wonderful golfing experience for the City of Aurora. Area golfers love Phillips Park and it continues to operate successfully.
