Ridge Country Club

Based upon a Master Improvement Plan prepared by Martin Design Partnership, Ltd. Ridge Country Club in Chicago has completed a major bunker renovation. This renovation intends to highlight the specific features of Ridge Country Club, its heritage and history. Using traditional treatments with a modern flair, the renovated bunkers will give Ridge a classic feel with a modern appeal and updated challenge. Using ‘low-profile’ treatments, the bunkers will strengthen the course challenge and strategy, without brutalizing the less-able golfer.

Aurora Country Club
Aurora, Illinois

Martin Design developed a Master Plan and is systematically improving the bunkers, drainage, tree cover, clubhouse area and golfer circulation as well as practice facilities. Improvements are are proposed for completion in 2007.

Pottawatomie Golf Club
St. Charles, Illinois

This wonderful early Robert Trent Jones, Sr. design was in desperate need of renovation. Constructed for the Norris estate on the shores of the Fox River, this 1940 golf course needed focused updating including bunkers, tees, drainage and safety concerns. Improvements have been implemented over multiple phases with completion due in 2006. These improvements had significant permitting requirements due to the immediate proximity of the Fox River, and Pottawatomie Golf Course remains an attractive golf course experience in the heart of the Fox River Valley.

River Forest Country Club
Elmhurst, Illinois

A Master Improvement Plan prepared by Martin Design in 1994 prompted improvements for River Forest Country Club. Without impacting the existing greens or hole routing, improvements were integrated to compliment the style, character and beauty of this prestigious club. Systematic improvements of stormwater management, path circulation, the clubhouse site, ponds, drainage, bunkers, tees, and practice facilities over four years updated and revitalized this established and prominent club.
