Laura Haussmann, ASLA & LEED Accredited Professional Landscape Architect has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors for MELA - Midwest Ecological Landscape Association. MELA strives to bring into regular use the most ecologically sound practices for landscape design, installation and management through leadership, ethical practice, learning and community service.

The Naperville Park District South Maintenance Facility was recently cited with LEED Silver Certification. This designation indicates a sensitivity to environmental planning and sustatinable design principles

-Tanglewood Hills Park, Batavia, IL
Designed as a Habitat Park within the Tanglewood Hills subdivision, this project will focus on distinct ecosystems of wetlands, savanna, prairie and woodland that currently exist on-site. Pedestrian trail systems, limited active recreational areas, a council ring and amphitheatre will further compliment this community park.
