We are not “minimalist”, nor are we “modern” – We apply an uncluttered approach to golf course design with this simple truth: treat the land honestly and let the beauty of the game be reflected by its surroundings. We believe in the classic virtues of the game… that simple strategic and aesthetic principles will inspire and engage golfers to appreciate this great game and these beautiful and unique environments.
Martin Design is inspired to develop a golf course that is reflective of its natural surrounds, specific to the development goals, on time, within budget and that will be economically and environmentally sustainable. If designed well, the facility can also become valuable assets to the local ecology. Martin Design embraces principles that allow us to preserve, restore and improve our natural environment while providing our clientele with highly functional, economically successful and environmentally sustainable golf courses. If our work can mitigate, or even improve the local ecology, the result is better….for everyone.
We take a site-specific approach to all of our work and we adapt these “green” solutions to all of our projects.
